October 11th, 2018 \u2013 Slope Records is proud to announce that Austin, Texas based Cocky Bitches, featuring members of Butthole Surfers and Cold, are releasing their psychedelic blues debut LP, \u201cMercy\u201d on \u201cBlack Friday\u201d aka November 23, 2018.<\/p>\n

The ten track album has already garnered attention from a notable indie rock legend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really love that Cocky Bitches record! I love the barbaric nature of some of the songs. It\u2019s like a cool soundtrack for the end of the world. I dig the production a great deal as well. The plodding nature of some of the songs make this an album you can really let flood over you. A soundtrack for a stalking serial killer or the theme for a psychotic rogue cop. The vocals are a treat as well, way cool! I think it\u2019s one of the best things I\u2019ve heard in quite some time. Excellent work!\u201d \u2013 Buzz Osbourne \u2013 Melvins<\/p>\n

Cocky Bitches are Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers, but also the RIAA Diamond certified producer who has worked with Sublime, John Paul Jones, Reverend Horton Heat, U2, Meat Puppets, Daniel Johnston) on guitar, bass, keyboards and programming, along with drummer Sam McCandless (Cold two RIAA Certified Gold and one RIAA Certified Platinum Albums) on drums and vocalist, and lyricist and performance artist, The Baroness.<\/p>\n

The trio originally formed the band, Carny, in 2004 which later morphed into the Cocky Bitches. In 2017, the band released their debut 7-inch \u201cTV\u2019s Ok\u201d on fetish pink vinyl with Slope Records.<\/p>\n

On \u201cMercy,\u201d The Cocky Bitches offer the listener no quarter, no mercy, and no escape. Through the erotic punk vocals of The Baroness, Leary\u2019s rapture invoking psychedelic guitar, and the heavy beats of McCandless, there is a revolutionary swagger and libertine energy that leaves the listener with no safe word as The Cocky Bitches scream, beat, and grunt their way through this extraordinary debut record.<\/p>\n
