IZ began free-styling at the age of 9 and writing his own songs by age 11. He was raised by his Mother and Step-Father. His first musical influences came from school and church choir. Around the age of 8 IZREAL moved to San Diego California to live with his biological Father. This is where he was introduced to rap music on a larger scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a young age IZ316 became keenly aware of the poverty and hardships that African Americans faced Domestically and internationally . It was this awareness of social injustices like like the L.A. riots of 92 and the \u201cwar on drugs\u201d &nbsp;that made IZ316 gravitate more towards socially conscious music and &nbsp;artist like NAS and Tupac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IZ316 would spend his early adult years overcoming a number of personal and professional obstacles. However it was a chance meeting with artists Gorilla Zoe and FLO-RIDA that &nbsp;inspired IZ316 to get back on his grind musically. Thanks to a introduction from a friend IZ316 would make more lasting connections with more established artist like Glasses Malone (formerly of Cash Money Records), Krizz Kaliko and Tech N9NE of Strange music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After being invited to a record label showcase at the Daddy\u2019s House (p.diddy studio) in NYC, IZ316 was able to ink a management deal with capital star management of New York City. IZ316 also hired 5\/19 Collective, a design &amp; consulting firm to do branding and business consultation for his music and brand. IZ316 has been featured on MTV.com, numerous radio stations, mix tapes and magazines including XXL. His music can be found on all major music website (itunes, Spotify, etc.) IZ316 is currently the co-host of a TV show and a radio show in his hometown of Wichita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IZ316 was recently recognized by Hometown station kdgs 93.5. as one of the cities premier artist. IZ316 is currently prepping for the release of two new albums. The song \u201cphoenix\u201d from the upcoming album titled \u201ciz316\u201d is scheduled to be featured on the soundtrack to a major motion picture! There is also talks of a possible tour.
