The Jersey City rock band\u2019s sound is inspired by rock greats like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Replacements, H\u00fcsker D\u00fc, The Afghan Whigs and Foo Fighters, yet it fits right in alongside today\u2019s newer generation of notable American rock acts like The Hold Steady and The Gaslight Anthem.&nbsp;<em><strong>The Calling<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em>will be released on&nbsp;<strong>August 21, 2020<\/strong><em>via<\/em><strong>Mint 400 Records&nbsp;<\/strong>with the lead single &#8220;<strong>No Way Out<\/strong>&#8221; releasing&nbsp;<strong>June 26th<\/strong>. Longtime band members are lead singer\/guitarist\/songwriter&nbsp;<strong>Dylan Clark<\/strong>&nbsp;and singer\/lead guitarist&nbsp;<strong>Jeff Nordstedt<\/strong>, playing alongside more recent additions to the line-up, bassist&nbsp;<strong>Donovan Cain<\/strong>&nbsp;and drummer&nbsp;<strong>Austin Faxon<\/strong>. The Milwaukees have consistently rehearsed weekly since coming together in high school and playing heartfelt rock \u2018n\u2019 roll way back when in their parents\u2019 garage. &nbsp;<br><br>\u201cJeff and I have played together for a long time. We\u2019ve been through a lot of ups and downs, but through it all It\u2019s been easy to sustain our partnership because we both just love playing this music together. We never followed musical trends we\u2019ve always just chased a sound that excites us,\u201d said Dylan. \u201cI think The Milwaukees is a band that exists outside of time.\u201d Jeff jokes, \u2018I mean, how else can you account for staying together for 20 years?\u201d<br><br>&#8220;The Milwaukees are a New Jersey rock institution,&#8221; says Mint 400 owner&nbsp;<strong>Neil Sabatino<\/strong>&nbsp;about the signing. &#8220;I knew all about them and had seen them as I was first forming bands and before I had even thought about starting a label.
