Demie Cao made her USA debut with her single Yung. Which debuted on the Spotify New Music Friday lists:\u00a0NMF Indonesia<\/a>,\u00a0NMF Malaysia<\/a>,\u00a0NMF Singapore<\/a>,\u00a0NMF Philippines<\/a>,\u00a0NMF Thailand<\/a>,\u00a0NMF Vietnam<\/a>,\u00a0\u65b0\u6b4c\u5feb\u905e\u00a0<\/a>(NMF Taiwan),\u00a0\u65b0\u6b4c\u71b1\u64ad<\/a>\u00a0(NMF Hong Kong).

Just last month, she was featured on\u00a0Ones to Watch<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Hello Asia!<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0for her single “SAGE” which was both released in English and Mandarin.\u00a0

Demie is back with her lastest single “RARI” in which she sings in a mix of Mandarin and English. The song has already been picked up by Spotify’s Chinese Indie Picks playlist, and Demie will later be featured on\u00a0Buzzbands.la<\/a>, so keep an eye out for that!\u00a0

August 7th, 2020 (Los Angeles, CA): <\/strong>Rising LA-based rapper and singer-songwriter Demie Cao<\/strong> has released her new single, \u201cRARI,\u201d along with a music video.\u201cRARI\u201d follows Demie\u2019s single, \u201cSAGE\u201d featuring the notable DJ Holly. This is Demie Cao\u2019s third single of 2020 and its release is yet another teaser for her first EP, Airplane Mode, expected to drop later this year. The release of \u201cRARI\u201d marks Demie Cao\u2019s focus to continue to ascend in the Chinese market. This track showcases her unique fusion of the pop and rap genres by featuring Demie\u2019s signature style of lyricism in which Mandarin and English language is used interchangeably. Produced by Ace Hashimoto<\/a> (formally known as brandUn DeShay, known for his work with Mac Miller, Chance the Rapper, Dom Kennedy, and many more), who also produced and was featured on Demie\u2019s Korean track, \u201cCHUNGDAM MODELS<\/a>\u201d along with Rekstizzy<\/a>. The lyrics were expertly written by Demie herself along with management mate Justin Park<\/a>, and Phil the Agony<\/a> (member of Strong Arm Steady<\/a>). The music video was filmed by Tommy Trinh<\/a> on location in Los Angeles. Choreography for the video, as well as the music video for \u201cSAGE\u201d was done by Ellen Kim<\/a>. The featured dancers in the video are Demie\u2019s Destroyers, Blair Kim, Sabrina Fernandez, Eileen Kim, and Michelle Griffith.

Demie Cao is a Chinese-American singer-songwriter whose love of performing started from a young age as a ballet dancer. After 13 years dedicated to the art, Demie turned her focus to the music industry with her distinctive style and fierce lyrics, and energetic dances. Demie continues to grow as an artist and is training under MSTR RCKS, and in the past has trained within the K-Pop music industry in Seoul, South Korea and took part in writing camps in Beijing, China. 

Demie\u2019s official debut in China was with her single, \u201cNIGHT VISION<\/a>\u201d which landed on Billboard Asia\u2019s 2019 \u201cBest of Rap: URBAN ASIA Vol. 2.\u201d Demie has also appeared in promos for 88 Rising, CJ E&M, KCON, and has danced in music videos for Lydia Paek<\/a> (YG Entertainment) and Sik-K<\/a> (AOMG). In May 2020, she made her English debut in May 2020 with her single \u201cYung\u201d which garnered immediate attention and landed her on Spotify\u2019s Editorial New Music Friday lists in Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
