Fresh off the release of his\u00a0Headspace<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0debut EP in July,\u00a0Maddox Jones<\/strong>\u00a0is back with the official video for the EP\u2019s closing track\u00a0\u201cNo More Ghosts<\/strong>.\u201d The track, recently featured by leading music industry tastemakers\u00a0Record of The Day<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>is an ambitious ballad, and in Jones own words,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s a heartfelt and haunting goodbye, finally making peace and letting go of something or someone that has been a major part of your life. It was inspired by a scene in the Netflix series \u2018You\u2019 where\u00a0Joe Goldberg<\/strong>\u00a0says, \u201cThere\u2019s no more ghosts in this bed.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>

Director\u00a0Drew Sheridan-Wheeler<\/strong>\u00a0adds, “Because of the trust from Maddox, we were given the freedom without additional pressure to create a narrative that we hope is relatable and is simply honest.” Sheridan-Wheeler along with Alex Rawson and the rest of team brought the storyline to life with having the protagonist, actor\u00a0Ryan Gerald<\/strong>, going through the various stages of getting over a lost lover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headspace<\/em>\u00a0spent its first week of release at #4\u00a0on the iTunes UK Singer\/songwriter chart, receiving praise from the likes of\u00a0SPIN<\/strong>,\u00a0American Songwriter<\/strong>,\u00a0BBC<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0iHeart Radio<\/strong>,\u00a0and showcasing Jones as one of the most exciting emerging artists of the year.\u00a0

While fronting a band is never an easy task – and Jones had his fair share of experience playing and collaborating with other artists – standing alone and allowing his deepest emotions to flow through some of the most personal songs he has ever written allowed him\u00a0to explore a variety of sounds and emotions.\u00a0Free from any restrictions, this new creative process allowed the talented artist to develop a vulnerable body of work while exploring a more diverse sound palette. The result is a personal journey through hedonism, love, loss and the pain of growing up, all echoed by Maddox\u2019s honest vocals.
