{"id":27347,"date":"2021-03-18T12:41:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T17:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kjagradio.com\/themic\/?p=27347"},"modified":"2021-03-17T13:35:23","modified_gmt":"2021-03-17T18:35:23","slug":"motherfaster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kjagradio.com\/themic\/motherfaster\/","title":{"rendered":"Motherfaster"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. -->\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For fans of\u00a0<strong>Motorhead<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Saxon, Guns N&#8217; Roses, Skid Row<\/strong><br><em>Imagine the guitar riffing of early Skid Row, the vocal style of Saxon or Motorhead with the attitude of classic Guns N&#8217; Roses recorded with the heavy gritty sound of stoner and doom bands like Alabama Thunderpussy, Egypt and Sleep! &#8211; Zach Moonshine<\/em><br><strong>Motherfaster\u00a0<\/strong>is the result of a bad idea, that was born after the end of a jam session, during the end of 2011.\u00a0They are based in\u00a0<strong>Athens\u00a0<\/strong>with a common purpose. To extract the dirtiest side of their souls and present it as an audio insult.<br>After playing some gigs during 2012 \u2013 2013, they took the request of their fans for an official release seriously! Consequently they hit the studio to create their self titled debut. The recording process started in early 2014. George Emmanuel engineered the album and Jeffro Lackscheide mixed and mastered it. In November 2014 the first single \u201c<strong>The nymph and the god<\/strong>\u201d was featured in the compilation CD Fear Candy, that comes with Terrorizer magazine (Issue 254). Legendary metal bands Exodus and Obituary were also in this CD. They released \u201c<strong>Motherfaster<\/strong>\u201d on February 24, 2015.<br>In the summer of 2016, they covered\u00a0<strong>Impaled Nazarene<\/strong>\u2019s magnum opus \u201c<strong>Blood is thicker than water<\/strong>\u201d.<br>Then, the time came for the successor. Entitled \u201c<strong>Slower Father<\/strong>\u201d, it was recorded at\u00a0<strong>Pentagram\u00a0<\/strong>studio and mixing\/mastering duties were handled by George Emmanuel. Nine explicit, dirty stories gilded with a mix of heavy metal \u2013 hard rock music. The second album is taking their signature sound one step further. Ruder, dirtier, heavier.<br><strong>Motherfaster\u00a0<\/strong>released \u201c<strong>Slower Father<\/strong>\u201d on December 2, 2019. On January 25, 2020 they opened the Athenian show of metal pioneers\u00a0<strong>Rotting Christ<\/strong>.
