Supergroup<\/u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Featuring Members of GayC\/DC and Streetwalkin\u2019 Cheetahs<\/u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n LOS ANGELES, CA (January 7, 2022) \u2013 When Brian Welch<\/strong> (GayC\/DC) and Frank Meyer<\/strong> (The Streetwalkin\u2019 Cheetahs, Eddie Spaghetti, Sweet Justice) were talking in 2020 about the state of the world, little did they know that a band was about to be formed. Their shared frustration at the world around them, the pandemic, the riots, the marches, the political unrest soon manifested into a creative outlet. Welch<\/strong> soon brought in his GayC\/DC bandmates \u2014 bassist\/producer Chris Freeman <\/strong>(Pansy Division) and lead guitarist Steve McKnight <\/strong>(Cry Wolf) \u2014 to round out a classic hard rock band. The second single \u201cIt\u2019s All Lies\u201d is the follow-up to the band\u2019s debut \u201cTriggered\u201d and serves as another statement from a band that won\u2019t keep quiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI had a demo for a song I was working on that had cool musical idea, but I wasn\u2019t crazy about the lyrics, so I gave it to Chris, who gave the whole thing a new arrangement,\u201d says Meyer<\/strong> of the song\u2019s origins. \u201cThen Steve came in and added all the cool sounding guitar and blazing leads, and \u2014 BOOM! \u2014 another Doberman masterpiece.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis was a song that Frank had given to me to work out new lyrics,\u201d concurs Freeman<\/strong>. \u201cAt the time it was called \u2018Shoot The Moon,\u2019 and was about a breakup, but with a dark streak. The music was complete, Frank had recorded a full demo, but I thought the chorus could be beefed up a bit, perhaps a new melody line.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n As for the lyrical inspiration for the new take on the song, says Chris: \u201cAt first I didn\u2019t know what the song was going to be about and was just playing with words to see what might stick, but soon I changed my focus and asked myself some questions about things that were on my mind. The biggest one that came up was the truth. It\u2019s in short supply these days, and what\u2019s left has been corrupted by those who have power or money. So, finding the subject wasn\u2019t hard once I refocused. My subject was an obvious choice and an ample source for digs. It practically wrote itself from there.
