Today is release day for ‘Maison’<\/strong><\/a>, the new single by the Bay Area collective known as SEAL PARTY<\/strong> (the duo of CHRIS McGREW and KEVIN SEAL<\/strong>), known for their fun eclectic parties and lively soulful performances, straddling numerous genres, including jazz, rock, soul, pop and chanson. This single    previews the band’s debut album ‘MMXXII’,<\/strong> mixed by JAIMESON DURR<\/strong> (Sammy Haggar, Joe Satriani, Hope Sandoval)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These artists made the jump from sessional musicians to launching their own project, recording this album during 2021 lockdowns. With an all-star cast of 22 collaborators, including blues, rock and RnB royalty, they recorded at Hyde Street Studios<\/strong>, where artists like the Grateful Dead, Herbie Hancock <\/strong>and the Dead Kennedys <\/strong>recorded some of their most legendary music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Written to comfort\u00a0Seal’s son, who was struggling during quarantine, letting him know that this too will pass and we will all come out stronger in the end. ‘Maison’ features an appearance by R&B organ wizard\u00a0CHRIS ROB\u00a0(Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Anita Baker, Talib Kweli)<\/strong>, imbuing this song with a soulful, timeless aspec<\/p>\n\n\n\n
