Dublin synthpop artist\u00a0CIRCUIT3\u00a0<\/strong>has released his new\u00a0‘Overview Effect’ EP<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0video for the title track<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0via Manchester’s AnalogueTrash label.\u00a0Bringing brilliant retro-futurist pop, this scintillating taster of the\u00a0‘Technology For The Youth’ LP<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(out July 15 via\u00a0AnalogueTrash<\/strong>) was mastered by\u00a0RICHARD DOWLING<\/strong>, known for his work with\u00a0Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Motorhead, David Bowie, Foo Fighters, New Order\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sparks<\/strong>.

With\u00a0tandem vocals by\u00a0ALESSIA TURCATO<\/strong>, a radio edit and dub version are complemented by remixes by\u00a0KeX\/1 (Lloyd Price of The Frixion)\u00a0<\/strong>and AnalogueTrash label-mates\u00a0Vieon<\/strong>, and the non-album track\u00a0‘Ariane 5’<\/strong>. The lyrics were\u00a0inspired by astronauts\u2019 documented experiences viewing our home planet.

The overview effect brings about profound changes in those who have undergone it.\u00a0Peter Fitzpatrick\u00a0<\/strong>explains:\u00a0“After observing our planet from space, astronauts feel obliged and responsible for the care of this tiny fragile ball of life, shielded only by a paper-thin atmosphere. The cool rich kids are going to space. It’s all the rage. Maybe we should protect what’s left of this planet before playing space tourists? The universe isn’t going anywhere. The earth certainly is.
