New York, NY \u2013 (July 15, 2022) \u2013 <\/strong>Oklahoma born Heartland Country Singer-Songwriter Houston Bernard<\/strong>  released his latest single \u201cEver Gonna Be\u201d today in the build-up to his upcoming EP, set for release later this year. This single release follows the successful release of his previous single \u201cHangover\u201d which has more than 200,000 streams on Spotify and  premiered the music video exclusively with All Country News<\/a> when it was chosen as their video of the week. As well as the recent radio success of past single \u201cAmerican Dream\u201d that peaked at #42 on the Texas Country Radio Regional Charts. In addition to releasing music Houston Bernard<\/strong> has been touring extensively across the U.S. playing with his full band as well as some select solo acoustic dates.  Bernard’s<\/strong> country roots run deep with a family tree that includes songwriters, touring musicians and more! In his own music, Houston draws upon his family\u2019s rich country and rockabilly musical roots, as well as his own personal experiences like his time in the U.S. Army, where he served nine years. His sound brings together upbeat, relatable music with powerhouse vocals and enough country twang that transcends age, and resonates with a large audience. Like many artists touring and performing in front of live crowds is something extremely important to Houston Bernard<\/strong>, as he can be found regularly performing at venues across the country, performing songs from his back catalogue as well as unreleased and new single like \u201cEver Gonna Be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about his latest single \u201cEver Gonna Be,\u201d Houston<\/strong> said, \u201cThis song is about those major changes in your life, like a graduation, moving out on your own, joining the military, starting a new job or getting married. There is a mix of excitement and nervousness, you wonder if you are really ready. Then you realize you are ready as you’re ever gonna be.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Houston<\/strong> was first exposed to country music while growing up in Norman, Oklahoma by way of his father and uncle, who toured and performed in various country bands. His uncle Johnny Bernard co-wrote “Muddy Mississippi,” a song which appeared on Reba\u2019s 11th studio album Reba Nell McEntire<\/em>. Both his father Donny Bernard and Uncle  Johnny toured and backed up country music greats like Tanya Tucker, Wanda Jackson and Sleepy LaBeef. Performing as Rebel Brothers, the Bernards were regulars in the bustling Oklahoma, Texas and Nashville country music scenes throughout the 70\u2019s. However, Houston <\/strong>neverreally had the chance to get to know his father all that well. When he was about three years old, his family relocated to Anchorage, Alaska due to his father re-joining the Army after a slowing touring schedule led to financial hardships for his family. Soon after that his parents split up, his Mom eventually remarried, and relocated him and his brother to a small town of Wasilla, Alaska. Nevertheless, Houston<\/strong> had still inherited a natural curiosity for music, singing and performing, almost as if it were passed down through genetics in some way. Another staple of Houston\u2019s country roots is infamous American outlaw George “Bitter Creek” Newcomb, Houston\u2019s<\/strong> great-great-grandfather and originally a member of the Dalton Gang. However, Newcomb was booted from the gang by Bob Dalton for being too wild, and formed his own band of cowboy outlaws with Bill Doolin known as the \u2018Wild Bunch.\u2019 Newcomb, who died from a gunshot wound in 1895, was the inspiration behind The Eagles\u2019 song \u201cBitter Creek,\u201d which appeared on their 1973 album Desperado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far in his music career Houston<\/strong> has released a series of singles, EPs and albums, starting in 2013 with his debut self-titled EP, and then followed up with his first full length album Knockin\u2019 Boots<\/em> in 2015. In 2018 Houston<\/strong> released his second EP Lucky Man<\/em>, followed by Freedom<\/em>, in 2020, which continued to raise Houston\u2019s<\/strong> profile as a diverse country music singer and songwriter. Houston<\/strong> has shared bills with many country superstars over the years like Luke Bryan, Old Dominion, Granger Smith, Michael Ray, Montgomery Gentry, Marshall Tucker Band, and Clint Black. Recent singles like \u201cHangover,\u201d \u201cAll We Are Is Memories,\u201d \u201cPeople We Are,\u201d and \u201cAmerican Dream\u201d have garnered Houston<\/strong> hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify and YouTube, along with being featured on Country Rebel, CMT.com, The Heartland Network, and The Country Network, All Country News and more! <\/strong>Stay tuned to Houston Bernard\u2019s <\/strong>socials below for more updates on the release of his upcoming EP as well as future tour dates from this talented Country singer-songwriter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
