The harmonious collaboration of\u00a0ELLIOT COLE, FIONA GILLESPIE\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0MAKARIS<\/strong>\u00a0ensemble has given life to a Celtic-Baroque folktale rock opera, set on All Hallow’s Eve.\u00a0‘Tam Lin’\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>is a\u00a017th-century ballad and fairy tale from the Scottish Borders, newly told in original music by Cole and Gillespie with period video\u00a0filmed at St. Mary’s on Grand in NYC.\u00a0A modern adaptation of this ancient story of transformation and love, this folk-rock cantata consists of a half-hour long musical drama, weaving Celtic, ancient and modern musical styles and instruments.
