{"id":33039,"date":"2023-07-31T12:37:58","date_gmt":"2023-07-31T17:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kjagradio.com\/themic\/?p=33039"},"modified":"2023-04-02T13:50:54","modified_gmt":"2023-04-02T18:50:54","slug":"guitar-player-chris-st-john","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kjagradio.com\/themic\/guitar-player-chris-st-john\/","title":{"rendered":"guitar player\u00a0Chris\u00a0St John"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. -->\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Singer-songwriter and guitar player\u00a0Chris\u00a0St John has been on a roll these last two years, having written and produced 3 LP&#8217;s and one EP.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">guitar player\u00a0Chris\u00a0St John<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe  id=\"_ytid_82877\"  width=\"696\" height=\"391\"  data-origwidth=\"696\" data-origheight=\"391\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/j6lc2XqOI1w?enablejsapi=1&#038;autoplay=0&#038;cc_load_policy=0&#038;cc_lang_pref=&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;loop=0&#038;rel=1&#038;fs=1&#038;playsinline=0&#038;autohide=2&#038;theme=dark&#038;color=red&#038;controls=1&#038;disablekb=0&#038;\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  epyt-is-override  no-lazyload\" title=\"YouTube player\"  allow=\"fullscreen; accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His first album, I\u2019m Dreaming, which was released in 2021, gained critical acclaim and commercial success.&nbsp; The album had four chart-toppers on the World Indie Music Charts and the Official European Independent Music Chart, including \u201cI Called You Rose,\u201d which climbed all the way to No. 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February 2022,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;recorded his second LP, Fly Away in Nashville, working with legendary producer Stephen Wrench, as well as some of the finest session musicians in Music City.&nbsp; The album had #1 hits on the Worldwide and European Indie Charts, including songs\u201cHey Siri,\u201d &#8220;Fly Away&#8221;, &#8220;I Just Knew&#8221;, &#8220;Hold on&#8221; and &#8220;Walk Between the White Lines.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In September of 2022,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;released When Dreams End to critical acclaim using the same producer and Nashville session musicians.&nbsp; The music is being picked up by major stations around the globe and there are several tracks expected to follow Fly Away&#8217;s success by climbing the charts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October 2022,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;returned to Nashville to cut an EP entitled &#8220;The Sinner and The Saint&#8221; and &#8220;Harbinger&#8221;, both set for release this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In talking about his prolific song writing, St John said &#8220;There is an urgency to what I am doing.&nbsp; The melodies and lyrics are coming to me fast and furious.&nbsp; I&#8217;m listening to what I&#8217;m hearing and feeling, and I&#8217;m expressing it through my songs.&nbsp; Having started writing songs at 14, I know that the &#8220;window&#8221; that these songs seem to come through isn&#8217;t always open, so I intend to keep writing and creating while I have so much to say.&nbsp; I&#8217;m having the time of my life.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The diversity of the songs makes it very hard to fit&nbsp;Chris\u2019 music into any one genre.
