The following is a written interview we conducted with the artist while they were working on their next CD and Tour. First off
I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk to us here today, as i know our readers have been requesting us get you in here somehow some way. You folks have been described by your fans as internet sensations in this interview we will attempt to figure out how this artist became such a great performer and what they have going forward.

Do you remember how the idea of forming the band first came up?
I have been singing since I was 5 years old. I was in my first rock band Hangmans Daughter and touring by the time I was 19 .So this music thing has always been in my blood. The idea of being a professional singer has always been part of my dna

Tell us about the band’s name?
it is me…  Sherrie Phillips

What is your latest album and why should people buy it?
My latest record is “Nobody But Me” and the title says it all.. I really did whatever the hell I wanted. Any song or genre that moved my soul. I didn’t worry what anyone might think, just does this inspire me and will my fans appreciate this. I can definitely answer yes to those questions! This is a journey of some of my favorite covers from Hendrix to Streisand, some originals and several live recordings from here in Nashville!!

How would you categorize the style of the band? Soulful Rock

Can you share with us one or two of your favorite moments with the band?
Every time I take the stage and sing “Woman in the Moon” I can feel the energy of the band and the energy of the audience go with me on this amazing journey about empowerment and overcoming the negative voices from our past! Also sharing the stage with Pat Benetar and receiving a standing ovation several times during the tour was a wonderful moment in time for me.

Does the entire band contribute to the writing process?
I have one writer in particular that I turn to her name is Stephanie Urbina Jones. She has a way of writing that speaks to my soul. She is a soul sister and has walked the talk. I also do a lot of popular cover songs from the fabric of my life.

How important do you rate the lyrical side of your albums?
Every song must tell a story that moves me, even if it just makes me feel really sexy!! So I would say very important.

What are your current tour plans, if any?
I am working on several dates for the coming year. I will be doing several house concerts between now and the end of the year here in Nashville, and will be playing in Northern California in January. My team is working on a tour schedule for the spring tba!!

Describe your live performance? Provocative, emotive, authentic and Sensual.

Tell us about your thoughts on your local music scene?
Well Nashville in my experience is a few things, extremely talented and very hard to get a crowd out to see you, I have not experienced this anywhere else in the country, I believe that there is just so much amazing music 7 days a week. That really it becomes a supply and demand issue.

Why do you think people are into your music?
People love my music because I believe that it enables them to feel the fullness of their emotions. I am very transparent with my emotions, my sensuality, my hurts, my triumphs and finding a song that allows that story to be told is very powerful.

What is the most played track on your iTunes?
Me and Bobby McGee !!!

What is your most cherished musical object?
A little miniature microphone from my brother and soundman of 20 years who passed away last year at the age of 48 from Pancreatic Cancer.

Do you have go-to album on a rainy day?
Shelby Lynn “I AM”

First band t-shirt you ever purchased at a concert?
Prince “Purple Rain”

Last record you purchased?
Burn by Sons of Fathers

If for some reason you lost the ability to make and play music, what would fill that gap?
Being a mom and doing healing work.

Would there be any one band or musician that would surprise us that you are listening to them?
Cookie monster from Sesame Street

Where can our readers find your band on the internet?
1.
