Karma Chameleon was a song that was big in my teens and always had a space in my head.<\/em><\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t feel pressure taking on the song as my plan was to give it my own feel and sing it my way\u2014and that\u2019s how I wanted to record it.<\/em><\/p>\n
\n🎶 THE REIMAGINE \/ CREATIVE PROCESS<\/h3>\n
Blending the sound came pretty easy. I told my producer, Brien Kerrigan<\/span><\/span>, what I had in mind and we went from there.<\/em><\/p>\n
Striking the balance came naturally.<\/em><\/p>\n
We had a tempo in mind and we knew we wanted that country feel to it.<\/em><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t approach the recording any differently from previous recordings\u2014I want my own distinct accent to still be heard.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOnly You\u201d was another iconic pop song, and my approach to both of these was the same.<\/em><\/p>\n
There are a few songs on a long list I\u2019d like to cover eventually, but I also have originals I want to get out there too.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had a few longtime fans give me the nod of approval\u2014which is always nice. They like that I kept the original structure intact and didn\u2019t stray too far.<\/em><\/p>\n
For anyone who\u2019s never heard the song before, I\u2019d like them to hear the range and variety in my repertoire.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a blend of influences over the years. The foundation comes from traditional Irish storytelling\u2014honest lyrics, plenty of emotion, and a strong melody.<\/em><\/p>\n

Since \u201cKarma Chameleon,\u201d I\u2019ve released the Keith Whitley<\/span><\/span> classic \u201cDon\u2019t Close Your Eyes,\u201d and in March 2026 I released my self-penned track \u201cOnly Her\u201d\u2014a song about love, connection, and that person who changes everything.<\/em><\/p>\n
There are a few more classics I might record, but right now I\u2019ve got some originals that need to escape.<\/em><\/p>\n

The way some hardcore Boy George fans took a liking to it.<\/em><\/p>\n
I\u2019ve never had just one moment\u2014I\u2019ve chipped away doing gigs in pubs and clubs, then got invited overseas on tours and met amazing musicians I now call friends.<\/em><\/p>\n
