So grab a friend, a date or your entire family and get on a stick to the Kansas State Fair.\u00a0Family-friendly fun will be plentiful at the Fairgrounds with free entertainment, competitions and educational opportunities planned throughout the ten-day event running\u00a0Sept. 5-14<\/span>\u00a0in Hutchinson.<\/p>\n Discount gate admission tickets to the Kansas State Fair are available now through\u00a0Thursday, Sept. 4<\/span>\u00a0and can be purchased at Dillons stores, at the Kansas State Fair ticket office or at\u00a0www.kansasstatefair.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kids<\/strong><\/p>\n Child-friendly fun is easy to find at Agriland \u2013 a special area packed with interactive games, wooden cutouts and more, all planned with young Fairgoers in mind. Agriland \u2013 located in the Pride of Kansas Building \u2013 helps identify the importance of agriculture and its impact on the state.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The educational aspect of the Fair doesn\u2019t stop with Agriland. Make sure to also visit the Birthing Center where children can learn about life and agriculture with opportunities to interact with baby animals and even witness live births.\u00a0Kids can also catch dairy cows being milked by professionals in the dairy industry through daily demonstrations at the milking parlor.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Looking for a relaxing spot to sit down? Dr. Goddard\u2019s lab is a great way for children to watch a live science show packed with surprises, experiments and enjoyable learning. This show is recommended for all ages and is offered daily in the Do Art Building.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But don\u2019t think the fun is limited to the buildings. Keep an eye out for Steve Trash, a Rockin\u2019 Eco Hero and Kid Comedian who will be strolling the Fairgrounds. You might even catch a glimpse of his friend, Oscar the Robot, a full-of-energy, witty and entertaining source of fun at the Fair.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Want to let the kids stay up a little later?\u00a0Don\u2019t miss out on letting them watch Frozen at the Kansas State Fair Movie Night on Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. at the Nex-Tech Wireless Stage. What kid (and even some parents) doesn\u2019t love singing along with Anna and Elsa?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Get On a Stick food options for kids? That\u2019s a no brainer.
