and rollin&#8217;.\u00a0 The crowds of people in attendance must have known they were going to be there, or were hoping because crowd attendance was at an all time high.\u00a0 The duo performed for about an hour and closed their set with a duet that they sang together and it was truly a highlight.\u00a0 Lots of applause at the end of this song with people on their feet.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-t6QEP4RKdv4\/UdGhKtJDrCI\/AAAAAAAAC10\/DdezdViUe3g\/s800\/IMG_0941.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/kjagradio.com\/theideamagazine\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/3b5f9467a1_IMG-0941.JPG\" width=\"320\" height=\"216\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Then it was time for the Soapbox Trubadores to take the stage.\u00a0 When this group was performing their sound check they played through an entire song.\u00a0 The crowd had begun to gather by then and folks were setting you their spots in the park.\u00a0 The group got a standing ovation when they finished.\u00a0 I thought this might be due to the fact that everyone was up and down getting settled in for the evening, although it was a pretty spectacular sound check.\u00a0 Talk in the park was that everyone thought the show might have started early and then they realized it was the sound check.\u00a0 Funny thing though,when they played the song during their set, it happened again.\u00a0 No one was ready to leave at this point, this song, as well as all the others before it, were just that good.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As day turned to night, it was time for Ryan Coon to take the stage.\u00a0 Ryan never disappoints.\u00a0 He played all the favorites that we&#8217;ve come to know and love from Radio Kansas &#8220;Nightcrossings&#8221;.\u00a0 Ryan&#8217;s music is just so full of feeling, the rhythms just wash over you and right into your soul.\u00a0 And it wouldn&#8217;t be a complete Ryan Coon experience without some new music and experiments with sound and technology.\u00a0 Truly an amazing evening.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The featured non-profit was The Salvation Army.\u00a0 Morgan Wilk donated half of the proceeds from the sales of\u00a0 her CD&#8217;s Saturday night to The Salvation Army.\u00a0 It was a banner night for food sales, The Salvation Army sold out of food which Wal Mart graciously provided and nearly all of the Pepsi products and water.\u00a0 The Mel Hambleton van ran out of ice cream and popsicles.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-_UMtZHUDkYQ\/UdGk8klXpAI\/AAAAAAAAC2A\/tkMutvLvq-8\/s800\/IMG_0937.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/kjagradio.com\/theideamagazine\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/3b5f9467a1_IMG-0937.JPG\" width=\"320\" height=\"156\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Next week, the featured performers will be Carla Ayala and Jonathan Flieg and The Salvation Army will once again be the featured non-profit.\u00a0 Who knows what surprises will be in store next week.\u00a0 Bring the family or a group of friends, enjoy cold drinks or water along with supper and there&#8217;s even dessert.\u00a0 Add in some fantastic music and a chance to see friends and neighbors.\u00a0 You don&#8217;t want to miss it.\u00a0 If you miss a week of Concert For The Cause, you miss a lot!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Concert For The Cause: Featuring Soapbox Trubadores and Ryan Coon Avenue A Park Hutchinson, KS \u00a9 Lydia Lowe 2013 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Back by popular demand, Morgan Wilk and Sean Story showed up for a surprise visit to open Saturday&#8217;s party in the park.\u00a0 These two performers really got the park rockin&#8217;
