Andree-Ann Deschenes

Andree-Ann Deschenes is a professionally trained pianist in both classical and jazz music. Combining her musical training to her rock n’ roll roots, her unique sound offers an interesting mix of chord-driven piano riffs and ear-catching melodie, without forgetting classical and jazz sounds. Faint childhood memories accompanied by The Beatles and Elton John albums had stimulated Andree-Ann Deschenes’ musical curiosity early on. Growing up to the sounds of classic rock and eventually falling in love with 80’s hair bands before discovering the modern melodies of Stone Temple Pilots and the Foo Fighters, she was always considered a non-traditional pianist. While trying to make her love for rock music collide with her classical music training, she ended up in jazz school, learning about Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau and the intricate secrets of jazz improvisation.
