1. “What’s a common myth about Independent Artists and can you debunk it?”
Ev Gold: There is glamour to any of it. There is only sweat and hard work, if you commit your time to pushing your art into the public forum.
2. “What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter the music industry?”
EG: Be flexible. Stay realistic. Manage your expectations.
3. “Are there any resources or even advice that have really helped you on your journey?”
EG: DO DIY DOT ORG, a great website and resource to find bands and venues organizing shows etc. Some advice I heard along the way: “Don’t try to follow someone else’s path, there are no two identical roads up the mountain.”
4. “What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career thus far?”
EG: Touring North America opening for Black Flag.
5. “What do you wish you had known when you started out?”
EG: That having a good day job or night job is a must.
6. “What led you to becoming a singer-songwriter?”
EG: Music resonates with me very strongly, as an art form. I am attracted to conveying my emotions through it and I find myself most comfortable when engaged in the activity of creating in the sonic world. Making art helps me feel free, I became a singer-songwriter to pursue that feeling.
7. “What do you think is your unique skill(s) that has helped you become successful?”
EG: Being a duo, we have to be inventive to achieve different sounds, thus somewhat unique by design.
8. “How was your journey to what you do Now?”
EG: Long and slow.

EG: In a practice room on January 11, 2008.

EG: This one has traveled further and played more than any before it.

EG: Past, present & future.

EG: Intense.

EG: Simply because it is.
16. “What’s the most common reason for people failing or giving up?”
EG: They are not willing to do the work that brings them outside their comfort zone.

EG: Play.

EG: Swimming.

EG: X-ray vision.
