Hillsboro’s music blends early 90’s shoegaze with an infectious rhythm section, haunting violin, and frontman Nima Walker’s plaintive vocals, creating a balance between nostalgia and originality. Lauded as the best live act in their local scene (The Zone 91.3), they’ve shared stages with Winona Forever, Pink Mountaintops and Diamond Cafe as well as toured the Western United States in the Autumn of 2023. Their self-titled debut LP, released in September 2023, received critical acclaim from Exclaim!, Under the Radar, and Cups & Cakes. The upcoming “White Trash” EP delves into Walker’s adolescent struggles, with themes of self-destruction and resentment. offering ceaseless energy and immaculate DIY production the EP often teeters on the brink of chaos.
