| Four years since her latest studio album, cinematic folk-rock artist JESSIE KILGUSS presents ‘Great White Shark’, the first taster of her forthcoming album ‘What Do Whales Dream About at Night?’ Engineered by ADAM LASUS (Yo La Tengo, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah), who also co-produced together with Kilguss and band members, this album was mixed and mastered by CHARLIE NIELAND (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie). American with Irish roots, she cites MARIANNE FAITHFULL and MARY MARGARET O’HARA among her biggest inspirations. For Kilguss, it’s also personal, having made the switch from acting to songwriting after working with both of them in the London and Sydney productions of ‘The Black Rider’, written by Tom Waits and William Burroughs and directed by Robert Wilson. |
