Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and Drake are just a few of the artists on the charts today. They are young and multicultural, just like their fans. Millennials are more racially and ethnically diverse than any previous generation in the U.S.

This young and diverse generation makes up 24 percent of the country’s overall population (the same as Baby Boomers), and their spending power is growing. That’s good news for industries they favor, like music. So what should music industry leaders understand about millennials?

Tony is a Music Industry Professional and Former Music Promoter thatgot U2 their first Radio and TV appearance outside of their native Ireland and worked with them from the very beginning right up to The Joshua Tree. He can use his experiences to touch on the evolution of digital music and how it has impacted the industry.

The following quote is from Paul McGuinness, who managed the group for 35 years…….

Tony has long been one of the UKs foremost record promoters and undoubtedly one of the best U2 has had the pleasure of working with. It was in those crucial formative years that we were grateful of the passionate belief Tony showed in the band and for the personal and professional relationship that was built. It was also pleasing to see the hugely successful career he built off the back of the work he did with U2 and the caliber of acts he has continued to work with.”

Tony is recognized and respected by both the artists he has nurtured and by his peers for the wealth of experience gained through an illustrious career. He has worked with artists and groups such as REM, U2, David Bowie, and Peter Gabriel. He now uses his book,“Insights from the Engine Room”to share his stories of the Music Industry and how it was to work with many top performers. His past experiences with both Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller give him the perfect mix to take on an interview about American Idol. From past interviews, music tours, house visits and albums the “REAL” story is all here.

***The all new book, “Let the Good Times Roll” will be hitting the shelves soon to elaborate the lessons Tony learned from Rock n Roll. Also included will be a specific chapter based solely on David Bowie. It’s a must read!”***
