Sharon received the trail blazier award in 2018 for her dedication for equality marching and singing alongside Martin Luther King Jr. as a valued member of SNCC and with Gregory Hickman- Williams created the Golden Gate Chapter of the National Association of Negro Musicians in Oakland Ca.

Recently recordings of a concert she did with Gregory Hickman Williams has been rediscovered and released to the public and has been gaining popularity in the community
