THE CONSEQUENTS UNLEASH “CONSECRATED” — DELUXE COVER ALBUM OUT NOW

Ottawa’s genre-bending heavy hitters The Consequents have officially dropped their long-awaited deluxe cover album “Consecrated” , released on October 31st, 2025 through Irrevocable Recs . Halloween may have come and gone, but this record isn’t tied to a holiday. It’s built to hit hard all year long.

Formed in 2016 , The Consequents have built a reputation for bending the rules and welding together mathrock intricacies, alternative-rock hooks, and metal aggression into a style that refuses to sit politely in any one lane. Fans of Slipknot , Moist , and Quarashi will feel right at home in the chaos.

The Consequents are:

Amir St. Laurent – Vocals

Auzi Stevens – Drums

Anthony Sato – Guitars

Andrew Botros – Sound Crew

“ Consecrated ” delivers 11 fiercely re-imagined tracks pulled from rock-alternative, metal, death metal, and hip-hop. Instead of cookie-cutter covers, the band injected their own grit and personality into every song, turning familiar tunes into something sharper, darker, and unmistakably theirs.

The band sums the release up like this:

“‘Consecrated’ hosts 11 new authentically covered songs ranging in Rock-Alternative, Metal, Death Metal, and Hip-Hop genres.”

Managed by Extreme Management Group, Inc.

The album is out now and streaming here:

  1. Congratulations on Consecrated! Releasing a cover album is a bold statement. What was the core idea or feeling you wanted to express by dedicating a full album to re-imagining other artists’ work? Thank you! Consecrated is actually the 4th volume of official “cover albums” from our musical brand & establishment. Speaking on behalf of all covers albums ranging Volumes 1-3 + Consecrated as it’s own sort of standing; each hosts a variety of covers collectively chosen. Be it admiration, or even the benefit of our eyes & experience; “Consecrated” specifically hosted a bit more of the subject matter which in notoriety everywhere is known to be “depressant-matter”. Whether it be lyrical subject matter, experience of time in retrospect; even musical genre and direction can be somewhat of a depressant to the hands of the handler.
  2. The press release emphasizes that these aren’t “cookie-cutter covers,” but songs injected with your own grit. Can you walk us through your process for taking a familiar track and making it “unmistakably” a Consequents song? “I take that review as a compliment, and honor it gravely personally. in the center of the equation is to avoid anything too derivative toward re-recording the original tunes. I will personally state that the musical “directors” (so-to-speak) on any music from The Consequents have to be of a designated class & caliber when it comes to directional-course, reading music, composition & studio recording, and performing. There’s alot of notational ranges with The Consequents. It’s always designed to be like skill-shotting all the targets for all modes and multiballs in Pinball Games. It has a love for the enitre record store, and it has it’s own eyes+ears+intergrity+personality in it. Our guys are the lifesblood, and we are playing at the Pinball Table tonight. We’ve heard about all the aspects of our music that stand-out to our listeners including passages of sincere melodies, blasts, and math ofcourse” – Anthony Sato
  3. With 11 tracks spanning rock, metal, death metal, and hip-hop, the song selection is incredibly diverse. How did you decide on this specific playlist? Was there a unifying thread or theme that guided your choices? This selection of cover songs on Consecrated have indeed been on a long list of covers around our camp since we were born basically. They were all withheld from releasing for quite an age now. Consequents is an eclectic musical production throughout. There’s “memory” and experience involved in the process as well. Fans through n’ through too! It’s a hearty experience to re-imagine each tune to the degree our production has been identified as authentically in the market. We wanted it to be a daring, thrilling, and enjoyable experience. Many of the artists we’ve covered; we already know or have been around in real life and time too!
  1. Releasing on Halloween feels intentional, yet you state the album is “built to hit hard all year long.” What’s the significance of the October 31st date, and why do you feel these covers have lasting power beyond the season? Everyone always does Christmas Carol albums or singles for the radio, or whatever.. Vacation, European Vacation, Christmas Vacation, Vegas Vacation… The Consequents – Consecrated is born in & bears the spirit of “Samhain”, Autumn, Fall, Halloween tidings. It was a decision to honor a portrait of autumn.. It’s all seasons year-round in “HalloweenTown” 🎃🍁
  2. As a band known for welding together mathrock, alt-rock, and metal, which cover on Consecrated presented the biggest challenge to deconstruct and rebuild in your own image, and why? To tell you the truth; it’s not a challenge at all. Music is notational matter that can be read in many different ways (even by-ear). As musicians in the profession of recording albums and performing them we are always in constant study, practice, and revision. In retrospect it’s like pushing the boundaries on our own quests or limitations. “Music” has to be a vital source of infite will and communication before you begin to realize that there are actually voices & intuition layered on intuition layered on intuition, and so on. It could’ve been anything really, and by experience in it’s growth & development happened to become what it’s familiarized around today. It’s a real audio-visual experience that’ll animate on the stages in it’s fomulation. It’ll have to animate an identity to the ears as well.
  3. What’s next for The Consequents? Does the creative exercise of Consecrated fuel ideas for new original material, or is the band considering another thematic project? We are managed under the Extreme Management Group, Inc artist roster. That generally means we’re open for business in performing our stageshow all-year-around. Internationally-Touring outreach and affirmation capability in this particular certified slate of the Music Business. The business involved in showcasing our production has to be presented on a Vida-Intra sort of way (or from within the belly of the beast per say). Taking on off-date objectives, and booking our own showcase (including hiring other artists to perform) is certainly forseeingly-possible as it’s in our career to give. The Consequents has it’s sources of gig-offer opportunities in the industry. Ultimately, our management are to acquire and assign a designated partnership between a reputable Booking Agency and our LLC Brand Production, “Consequents”. Our music label and recording contracts are in a 360 degree sort of our ordeal as well (Which means more original music for sure – maybe even a “cover” here n’ there. You’ll have to follow along!) 🤘⭐🖤
