Teressa Monroe is an accomplished songwriter with over 30 years of experience in singing,
playing the piano, and writing songs. Her diligence and efficiency in ministry of song has
made a major impact on many people’s lives. Teressa can turn situations into songs with
little effort.
When Teressa was around 13 years old, she began to play the piano at her home church,
Mud Creek M.B. Church in Saltillo, MS. She also played for different churches in the area.
She then began to sing at funerals, weddings, and other Special Occasions.
In the late 1990s, Teressa began writing songs and inspiring people from near and far. She
was licensed as a Minister in 2001. After years of faith, praying, and relying on God’s
strength, Teressa’s long-term dream of making her first CD came to pass. In 2005 Teressa’s
first project was titled, “It’s All about Him”. This project was inspired by her life’s struggles
that pushed her in a place, where she realized that it was all about God and nothing else.
In August of 2022, Ollie Collins III presented an opportunity for Teressa to get back in the
Studio and co-write with him the new single project, “Take Me Away”. With his skills in music
and Teressa’s vocals, this project came alive.
Teressa was always inspired by God and encouraged by her Pastor, Apostle Linda F.
Rogers, and Bishop Marquette Rogers, Overseer of Bread of Life House of Worship in
Amory, MS, where she serves as Psalmist of the house.
