LA-based collective BEAUTY IN CHAOS presents a timely single – ‘Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)’ is out in time for Halloween. Citing CONCRETE BLONDE‘s “eerily realistic picture of my hometown”, frontman MICHAEL CIRAVOLO chose to offer this new rendition with the involvement of THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS saxophonist MARS WILLIAMS, MINISTRY producer MICHAEL ROZON and vocalists KAT LEON (HOLY WARS), WHITNEY TAI and TISH CIRAVOLO.
California’s Stereo Embers Magazine writes, “The LA-based Goth collective’s reading of Johnette Napolitano’s track from 1990 reimagines it as a Bourbon Street breakdown, filled with shadowy vocals courtesy of BIC’s braintrust Michael Ciravolo… The New Orleans vibe permeates the nearly seven-minute track and every second is filled with dark and delicious grooves, spooky sax lines and pure post-punk prowl”.
