1. “What’s a common myth about Independent Artists and can you debunk it?” I suppose a very common myth would be that Independent Artists need Major Labels to make them successful.

2. “What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter the music industry?”
I would advise anyone entering the music industry to grow very thick skin. The music business is called a “business” for a reason, and if it’s just art to you, you may find yourself doubting yourself. If you are confident in who you are as an artist, the next step is to treat your art like a business, because that’s how everyone else will treat it.

3. “Are there any resources or even advice that have really helped you on your journey?”

I believe in self motivation for the same reason in question #2 because it’s important to remind yourself (and that nagging inner voice) that you are as great as anyone else, and the only difference is how much you believe in yourself vs them.
4. “What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career thus far?” Writing and Producing our debut EP was something I never thought I could do. It took many years to sound like I was born with this ability.

5. “What do you wish you had known when you started out?”
I have an unreleased song called, “Old Enough To Know Better” which has a line that says, “I wish I knew Now What I Knew Way Back Then”. We haven’t touched on my past but there are some pretty great accomplishments from my start with a band called, “Warrant”.

6. “What led you to becoming a singer-songwriter?”
I was in a band and the singer/songwriter was 6 years sober. Unfortunately, he fell off the wagon and the band fell apart. At that point I never wrote a full song in my life… every other band I was in was with a singer/songwriter… this time I realized that I cannot depend on anyone but myself. And I went to work!!! Songwriting came easy for me.. Singing… not so much. It took me a while to get to this point, and that is why I am so fiercely working hard to get our name out there.

7. “What do you think is your unique skill(s) that has helped you become successful?” I really love writing songs, and I think I’m pretty good at it. But who knows really…. I just have the desire to be the best at everything I do. Which really only means, I want to be better today than I was yesterday, and better tomorrow as I am today.

8. “How was your journey to what you do
Now?”
Rough!!!! Actually, I don’t know… does the journey ever end? Do I want it to? To me the journey is the part that keeps you motivated.

9. “How did this project begin?”
See #6
.
10. “What makes this project different from “past projects?”
I think Anita Squeeze isn’t afraid to merge genres, while keeping in Rock N’ Roll and still keeping a common thread throughout the whole process.
11. “What’s the inspiration behind this project?”
Life, Death, Love, Broken Hearts, Peace, Anger, Story Telling, Truth, Lies and more.

12. “What word or phrase would you use to describe this project?”
Rock N’ Fuckin’ Roll

13. “How can listeners get in touch with or support you?”
anitasqueeze@gmail.com

14. “What is coming up for you in the near future?”
More and more shows, tours, albums, interviews, and enjoying life!.
15. “Many people believe that becoming a musical artist is challenging to the point it
becomes overwhelming and too much to handle. Why do you think people believe that?”

I think they believe that because they aren’t prepared for the experience. How can they? Also, we have a tendency to think that when things are good, that they’re always going to be good.. and when they’re bad, we think it’s always going to be bad. Life if filled with up’s and downs. If we can always prepare for the opposite experience from what we are on, we won’t be so shocked when the tides change.

16. “What’s the most common reason for people failing or giving up?”

Maybe they didn’t really love it, or maybe they’re smart. I don’t know.. All I know is, if you can play a guitar, you will never be bored.
17. “What is your favorite word?”
“Perhaps”

18. “What are you not very good at?”
Most sports.

19. “If you could have one superpower, what would it be?”
I’d love to fly. I can’t imagine anything more freeing than being able fly on your own.. not in a plane of rocket or anything, just to be able to jump and then fly across town.

20. “If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?”
A popcycle baby!!!! Figure it out!!! LOL!!!

21. “If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would you choose?”Young Mick Jagger
