Do you remember how the idea of forming the band first came up?
Brice – We are 4 guys that knew each other from school and later on down the road we all met again and decided to start jamming together. After writing a couple songs we decided to keep going and see how far we could take it. this band was the first live performance for mike and I. About nine months after being together, we played our first show and have been pushing forward since. we have won battles and came in high place in others, and have played about 150 shows to date.
Tell us about the band’s name?
Brice – Beau used a play on words with not afraid, and it works well with the theme of calling out the corruption that is infesting our govenrment and country as we speak. Because we shouldnt be afraid to call out what we see.
What is your latest album and why should people buy it?
Brice – Our latest album is available at all our shows, and available for download at ReverbNation.com You can go there and listen to the tracks for free. People that enjoy Rock/Metal should go check it out, and if they like what they hear, support the band however they like. Buy an album or come out to a show or just drop a line of support on Facebook, all forms are accepted =)
How would you categorize the style of the band?
Brice – Its a mix of metal riffs and chugs with scream and singing vocals, that can change into a slower vibe and be pretty in a way.
Can you share with us one or two of your favorite moments with the band?
Brice – Our CD release party was an amazing moment for us as a band. For all the people that came out that night to support our debut album, it felt really good to finally give them the cd they had been waiting so long for.
Does the entire band contribute to the writing process?
Brice – Yes. Mike, Beau and I will bring ideas to practice and Brian gives us some beats to jam them with. Ideas we like we keep and start to structure into songs.
How important do you rate the lyrical side of your albums?
Brice – Very. We encourage everyone that visits any of the sites, to read the lyrics while you listen to it and see if you like them. Feel free to drop us a line and tell us what you think.
What are your current tour plans, if any?
Brice – We are trying to book as many shows regionally as possible. we are working on a bus we just got so we can travel and stay out longer. just trying to figure out how to book the dates. we have been trying hard, and will continue to push till something gives and maybe along the way meet up with someone that wants to help us reach that next level.
Describe your live performance?
Brice – very high energy, we like to try to put on a show for everyone. Just have to come check one out.
Tell us about your thoughts on your local music scene?
Brice – Well its there. Its noticable when the bands promote with the venue and make the show known to everyone.
Why do you think people are into your music?
Brice – Its our own music that has a Rock/Metal sound that is new to the scene.
What is the most played track on your iTunes?
Brice – Not on iTunes yet, but we have around 400+ plays on Reverb Nation.
What is your most cherished musical object?
Brice – The Guitar Mike plays was built by his father when he was running a shop. after we created the band and played a few shows, his dad gave Mike his personal guitar that he built for himself. Mike still rocks that guitar at shows.
Do you have go-to album on a rainy day?
Brice – Lamb of God – Resolution

Last record you purchased?
Brice – Parkway Drive – Atlas
If for some reason you lost the ability to make and play music, what would fill that gap?
Brice – Well not much cause if i cant play music then i have no hand cordination and that means i cant play video games either so im BOneD.
Would there be any one band or musician that would surprise us that you are listening to them?
Brice – Brian really likes Reggie, so its not uncommon to hear that on his phone while we are sitting up or hanging out.
Where can our readers find your band on the internet?
Brice – www.knotafrayed.com to find all the info you need from music, videos, dates, and social media sites.
How has Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) impacted your band?
