Lynne Ferguson is a singer/songwriter and musician with a long and successful career in many music genres, raising a large family playing music for a living. She has just released an album of jazz standards, with recordings from 30 years ago to present day. This is her 20th release, and all proceeds benefit the Native Horsemanship Youth Program 

Lynne’s main artistic influences include a list of legends from a broad variety of musical styles, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, Tracy Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, and Billie Holiday. Lynne has recorded with Mark O’Connor, Jerry Douglas, Eddie Bayers, and the great blues singer Tracy Nelson. Her early career earned the avid support of blues legend Taj Mahal, who invited her to open several of his shows, also sending her great songs to record by the then-unknown Lyle Lovett. Since that time, she raised her five children and several nieces and nephews playing music for a living, both as a solo artist as well as thousands of shows in the duo Double Stop, with the award-winning flat-picker Roger Ferguson. Besides the jazz standards included on this latest release, Lynne plays and records music in many genres, bluegrass, Americana, country, rock, and her own road tested originals.  She has opened fo,r and recorded with, many of her favorite artists, including Taj Mahal, Mark O’Connor, and Tracy Nelson.

Lynne lives on the Port Madison Indian Reservation in Suquamish, Washington, near her 5 children and 8 grandchildren. She serves on the board of the Native Horsemanship Youth Program, a non-profit free program serving low income youth and youth with disabilities that Lynne founded in 1998. She does limited touring and recording to support the charity, and the newest release, “Retrospective” ,  is another fundraiser and is now available worldwide
