SUPER HERO GIRL – Reid Jamieson
Hey radio folks!  Looking for an upbeat soundtrack to celebrate Kamala Harris making history / herstory? Harris will be the first female U.S. vice president, the first African American, the first Asian American and the first Caribbean American to hold the post in U.S. history. She will also be the highest-ranking female elected official in United States history.
On a related note: Born on October 20th Kamala shares a birthday with Reido, she lived in Canada for a time, and she wrote a children’s book called ‘Superheroes are Everywhere’. You can’t make this stuff up!
Sending this out to all the complicated women and girls getting busy turning history into Herstory. Thanks kindly for considering.

Vancouver’s Reid Jamieson is a vocal powerhouse committed to making music that moves us. Known for regular appearances on CBC’s Vinyl Café with Stuart McLean, to recording with Cowboy Junkies, Reid shines with compelling originals, plus killer covers of everything from cult hits to the 50s era greats and Leonard Cohen. The new all original album ME DAZA, was recorded in Ireland with producer Kieran Kennedy (Maria Doyle Kennedy), and there is nothing traditional about it. A classic introvert/extrovert combo, Reid performs with his saucy wife and long-time song-writing partner Carolyn Victoria Mill. Together they have won the John Lennon Songwriting ContestLG104.3’s vanCOVER contest, and wrote their way into the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. Tireless promoters of voting, equality and love, they thrive on creating intimacy. Currently working on an original lo-fi folk opera about Pigeons (!) and the causes of Homelessness. You won’t want to miss what they do next!
